In 2013 Sister and brother Goutami and Raju arrived at the Home aged 3 and 4 respectively.
Their parents were in prison on a robbery charge. Social workers brought the children to the Home as there was no-one to care for them. They were very malnourished.
The father had died in prison and the mother was released but is now a broken woman. She no longer visits the children.
Raju was very disruptive when he arrived but is now one of the brightest children in his class, picking up English extremely quickly. He is full of character. He adores his sister and looks out for her. She is much calmer and very popular with her friends.
