CLASSMATES
Become a CLASSMATE today by applying online and make a huge difference to these children's lives.
The SLA CLASSMATES scheme creates a special link between supporters and a class at our Home in Tuni. Your support will provide essentials such as food, clothes, housing, education and medical care. These long term needs are met within a stable loving community by dedicated staff. SLA will help you to be part of the children's unfolding lives through regular updates. One of the positive features of CLASSMATES is that no child will feel less special than another. When you join the scheme you will receive a photograph and a story of one child in a class.
This child will be the link into your class and will provide you with an example of the lives of the 500 children in the Home. You will not correspond directly with a specific child but you will be welcome to send postcards to the whole class through the SLA Office. In this way all the children can feel special. As a supporter of CLASSMATES you will receive:
ON JOINING
A photograph of the class you are supporting and a life story and photograph of one child in that class.
EVERY YEAR
An update of the progress of your class plus a photograph and life story of another child in your class.
TWICE A YEAR
The SLA 'In Touch" newsletter informing you of the progress of the Charity

He returns to his village every summer to visit his mother.
This year he is in Class 4, the equivalent of Primary 6 in Scotland. Class 4 is the largest in the school with about 60 children .... Read more
