In our first year, SLA set a target of raising £18,000 pounds. This sum represented the cost of feeding, clothing, housing and providing a basic education for the 120 children.

Today, in 2009, the number of children at the Light of Love home in Tuni has grown substantially to 500, and we have taken on responsibility for 60 children who live at the Hyderabad home plus the 70 local children who come to the school daily. SLA now requires to raise a minimum of £280,000  a year to support the work we do with destitute children in India, a colossal challenge but one that we are determined to meet.

Despite meeting this and subsequent targets, we constantly find ourselves challenged and daunted by the staggering scale of the need, so much greater than the provision we can hope to offer.

Please help us offer these destitute children the gift of hope.
