Edinburgh Youth Choir - December 2007
Thank you evening to Edinburgh Youth Choir for a beautiful evening of singing at Morningside Parish Church in December 2007.
Harvey Nichols Ladies Night - November 2007
Our Ladies Night on Monday 12th November, which involved fizz, food (3 course meal) and fun with exclusive shopping on the Ground and Food Floor of Harvey Nichols was a sell-out . Many thanks to Sue Valente for organising this evening and making it such a success.Koporakaya Ceilidh - November 2007
The early celebration of our Patron Saint at The Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on Saturday the 10th of November 2007 was a fantastic evening. The ceilidh was a sell-out and the positive feedback from guests confirms that the event was thoroughly enjoyed by all attended.Summer Volleyball Competition - August 2007
Many thanks to all who took part in this years Volleyball Tournament. The day was a great success and raised over £600 for SLA. A special thanks to George Watson's College for the use of their facilities for the day.The Honey Stinger Gullane Beach Triathlon - July 2007
Hamish Hamilton raised funds for SLA by doing the Triathlon in Gullane, East Lothian, on the 21st July 2007. He swam 1500m, cycled 42km and finisedh off by runing 10km. Thank you Hamish for all the traning you did and for your great achievement in completing this event for the children of SLA.The Great Scottish Walk 2007 - June 2007
Thank you to everyone that participated in the Great Scottish Walk on Sunday the 10th of June 2007 and the Great Wee Scottish Walk earlier this summer in Edinburgh raising money for SLA.The Elephant Ball - June 2007
>The first of many Elephant Ball's was a great success at the Roxburgh Hote on the 2nd June 2007. The evening which included a champagne reception, 3 course dinner, ceilidh, disco and games raised over £15,000 for SLA, absolutely fantastic!. A huge thanks to Sue Valente for all her hard work in organising this event for SLA. Anyone interested in next years Elephant Ball is advised to book early toavoid disappointment!
The Great Run, 10km - May 2007
Naomi Puri raised over £300 running for SLA in the 10km Great Run in Edinburgh on the 5th May 2007, thank you Naomi.
Cycle Ride - Spring 2007
Nigel Sedgewick did a cycle ride around Europe for 2 charities, one of which was SLA.
Indian Burns Supper- January 2007
The Indian Burns Supper was held at Canonmills Church on the 27th January 2007 and was an opportunity to celebrate our project and the links between Scotland and India. The evening took the form of a short quiz, entertainment and a meal. There was no charge for the evening but people donated money to cover the cost of the meal and were very generous ending up raising over £450 for SLA!
