Jhoyti’s parents died when she was very young.
From an early age she had been a maid in houses. Her duties consisted of cleaning the floor and fetching the water. She received no money but was given food. Every night she slept in the hall of the house. During her young life she was handed over to three families. When the last family went to Dubai, they threw Jhoyti out onto the street where luckily she was found and brought to the Home.
She had had no schooling and her first year was very difficult. She could not socialise with the others and was very angry. Now she is very happy and settled but still constantly craves extra affection.
She likes to look after the younger children and is very caring with them.
