Helping Vulnerable Children in India

Scottish Love in Action (SLA) is a charity whose mission is to partner with grassroots Indian organisations that care for, educate and empower vulnerable children and young people.

Our joint vision with our Indian partners is to have a transformative impact on children’s lives. Together, we want to inspire and encourage children and young people in India to escape the poverty trap and reach their fullest potential.

During the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, SLA are highlighting ways we in Scotland can support some of the most vulnerable people in the world, through our partners in India. We’ve created the FeedMeToday Appeal because closure of schools in India means the loss of the Government-provided midday meal for children.

We’ve also set up other ways you can help. If you’ve been having a clearout at home, you might want to check out Vintage Giving. Or if you’re ordering items from Amazon, please go to and choose Scottish Love in Action as your supported charity.

SLA and our partners are hugely grateful for any support to help our global family survive this difficult time. If you have fundraising ideas to share, please do get in touch.

More About SLA

SLA Hear my Voice Appeal launched

India is home to 1 in 3 of the world’s child brides. Girls are forced out of education and into work, child marriage and early childbirth. But give these girls a voice and they can change the world.

Regular Donations for Regular Meals

Malnutrition is the main cause of child poverty in India. That’s why we’ve launched our FEEDME Challenge: a monthly donation of just £3 provides 18 meals a month for one of the children we support.
