Feed Me Today Appeal

Just £5 provides lunches for one child for 3 weeks during Covid-19 lockdown

The free lunch scheme for all Indian children has been suspended due to Covid-19 lockdown.

Without this children now have to go without that one guaranteed school mid-day meal worsening an already severe malnutrition problem amongst the poorest in India.

Our partners, ASRITHA Rainbow Home in Hyderabad, have estimated that in January this year there were around 36,000 children living on the city’s streets. They look after some of the most vulnerable of these children. Rescued street children are taken into safety, provided with a home, clothing, food and re-educated with the goal of helping them to get back into society, attending school as soon as they are able.

The Rainbow Homes children have now lost their free mid-day meal from the government. The staff are doing an amazing job keeping the children as safe and healthy as possible over this period of lockdown. We need your help to meet this unforeseen cost.

We seek your support to help feed these children over this crisis.
