One of the questions in the Quiz is relevant to the work we do.

Round 2 Question 1 is about the relationship between Khair-un-Nissa and James Achilles Kirkpatrick, the British Resident in Hyderabad in the late 18th century. William Dalrymple’s book ‘The White Mughals’ describes this relationship which took place in The Residency, Hyderabad.

The Residency building is now part of Osmania University, the main university in Hyderabad.

Our partner project in Hyderabad supports girls who used to beg on the streets or work as servants. Transforming their lives, they are now cared for and are learning again. Some of these girls are enrolled at Osmania University, studying subjects such as business or nursing.
