The time has come to reflect not only on the year that has passed, but also on some of the amazing highlights of Scottish Love in Action’s 25 year journey.

Since 2000, Scottish Love in Action has helped to give around 25,000 children in India the education, care, life skills and support they need to flourish.

As part of our journey, your donations have enabled so many children to lead independent, fulfilling lives. With your help, our projects have been helping to look after, educate and empower vulnerable children for a quarter of a century.

During this time, we have worked tirelessly with our Indian partners to tackle all forms of child poverty. Through your love and generosity, you can support brighter futures in India as we look towards the New Year.

Aditi’s Story

When Aditi was a baby, her Mum passed away, leaving her Dad as a single parent to Aditi and her brother.

Aditi’s Dad is a skilled carpenter, but an injury at work forced him to become a day labourer. Earning less money and with work not guaranteed, it’s difficult for him to find regular shifts. A single parent with no regular income, he struggles to provide for his family or even to make ends meet.

It was a privilege to meet Aditi and her Dad. It was heartbreaking that 10 years after his wife’s death, he cried as he told me the family’s story and the daily struggles the family faces. We would love to help more children like Aditi – this is where you come in!
