Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024 HAS ENDED

The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024 HAS NOW ENDED

A birth certificate is a simple piece of paperwork we take for granted. However, not everyone is so fortunate. Satya grew up without a birth certificate. This meant she was invisible. No name, nationality or identity. She had no rights. She did not exist, so had no legal protection. She faced exploitation. She was at risk of child labour, child marriage, and trafficking.

Scottish Love in Action’s A birth certificate for Christmas campaign ran for one week only – from Tuesday 3 December to Tuesday 10 December. During this special time, every pound donated to the A birth certificate for Christmas campaign was being matched pound for pound (up to a value of £15,000) thanks to the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

Did you donate? Please see the graphic below to find out how your donation of £100 could grow into £225.

That’s just one way that Scottish Love in Action doubles our impact whenever we can. We work with local communities and partners to maximise their impact, build their capacity and create sustainable change. By working in partnership, we ensure your generosity can make the strongest impact.

A birth certificate for Christmas is possible with your help.

From Tuesday 3 December to Tuesday 10 December, your donation was doubled, meaning you can support double the number of children, and ensure A birth certificate for Christmas.
