Firework Extravaganza
After fifteen successful years, Scottish Love in Action has made the difficult decision to conclude its annual Firework Extravaganza.
Scottish Love in Action announces conclusion of annual fireworks display
First held in 2011, the event has become a valued fixture in the local calendar. However, rising operational costs and declining ticket sales have significantly changed the financial viability of delivering the event. As a charity, Scottish Love in Action must be a responsible steward of its resources and continually review how it fundraises. Following careful consideration, the charity has therefore decided to discontinue the event.
For many years, the Scottish Love in Action Firework Extravaganza brought together families, friends and communities to enjoy a safe and memorable celebration while raising vital funds to support the charity’s work. The charity is immensely proud of the positive impact it has had over the years.
Scottish Love in Action would like to express its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the Firework Extravaganza throughout its history. This includes the many partners, sponsors, contractors, and volunteers whose commitment, hard work and enthusiasm helped make the event possible year after year.
The charity would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the thousands of supporters who attended the fireworks displays and, through their participation, helped raise vital awareness and funds for Scottish Love in Action’s work.
A spokesperson for Scottish Love in Action said:
“While we are saddened that we will no longer be able to deliver this much-loved event, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part in its success over the years. The support of our partners, volunteers, and attendees has been invaluable, and we thank them all for helping create so many special memories while supporting the work of Scottish Love in Action.”
Although Scottish Love in Action will no longer be running an organised fireworks display, the charity encourages those wishing to celebrate Bonfire Night to seek out alternative organised firework events in their local area. Organised displays provide an opportunity for communities to come together and enjoy fireworks safely and responsibly.
While the Firework Extravaganza is coming to an end, Scottish Love in Action remains committed to giving every child in India an opportunity to thrive. Supporters can continue to help transform lives through the charity’s year-round programmes and fundraising activities.
