Opportunities and training help Aanya achieve her dreams
Aanya was rescued from a life on the streets of Delhi when she was just 7 years old.
She lives in the Delhi Rainbow Home and is a bright and cheerful student, who enjoys and has a talent for drawing. She was entered into an art competition at Tansen Sangeet Institute for Art, Music and Dance and it was a real boost to her confidence when she won. She would love to pursue a career which recognises and builds on this aptitude.
Aanya is now 17 and is in her final year of high school. She has had training in Computing, Graphic Design and English, all of which are further developing her skills and helping her decide what she wants to do with her future.
The Livelihoods Project will offer Aanya expert guidance and support to access different work experiences, training and education, exposing her to different styles, techniques and the current demands of her chosen field. With the right opportunities and training, the Livelihoods Project offers Aanya every chance of becoming a talented artist, empowering her to build the future she is striving for.
