SLA have supported thousands of children and young people.
The funds SLA have raised and continue to raise are testament to the generosity of our supporters in Scotland and beyond. They have shared in our dream to make life-changing transformations for some of the most deprived children on the planet.
We accept donations from people anywhere in the world who are interested in helping children living in the most difficult situations.
Our ‘Lighting Candles in India’ film was filmed in 2014 at the Light of Love Children’s Home and School. It offers a window into the world of some of the children we have supported.
We are currently looking at the impact of volunteering and the huge number of hours donated to SLA every year by our fantastic volunteers. Watch this space to see us begin to develop our monitoring and measuring on this crucial element of our work.
Every year we publish an Annual Report to demonstrate how much we and our partners in India have achieved. It shows the impact we have made together, and the difference we have made to the children and young people we support.
India has the highest number of child labourers aged 6-14 years in the world. Child labour in India exceeds 90 million, excluding children in domestic labour
